Welcome

Hello & Welcome to Spiritfire Designs!brisstyle member purple

I specialise in creating upcycled jewellery and homewares, including dreamcatchers, lampshades, bowls and handbags.

I am incredibly passionate about re-using and upcycling materials to create new works of art. I prefer to use preexisting materials, whether they be secondhand, vintage or op shop finds, and transforming them into something new and different.

It can often be challenging creating something beautiful and practical from objects that were at one time destined for landfill. I enjoy the challenge of having to make do with what I have, rather than going to the shops to buy exactly what I had in mind. It means that my art is very much influenced and inspired by the materials I find. I enjoy working in the midst of this spontaneity because it means that I often don't know what a piece will look like until it is finished.

For me art is about pushing the boundaries – my own as well as the properties of the materials I create with. I like to create pieces that are bold, crazy and beautful. Life is too short to be mediocre and to do things halfheartedly.

So if you love unique and one of a kind pieces that are that little bit out there, then you have definitely wandered to the right place!

Thanks for your time and happy browsing,

Nadine from Spiritfire Designs
